I am seriously thinking I’m going to delete my facebook account.

I should also just delete my myspace account while I’m at it.

I’m 2 days into giving up candy cold turkey.

I didn’t work for 3 days this week.  I felt like a worthless slob.

This post was brought to you by my dirty room that I’m not cleaning.

Spring 2007 Television

Have you all been watching Heroes? I should have been but I haven’t. Milo Ventimiglia is enticing, but Ali Larter is a deal breaker. I would be glad to not see her cast in a single TV show or movie for the rest of my life. But now she’s on a hit TV show so we all know that dream won’t come true!

How I Met Your MotherYou know what I’ve been watching? The Bachelor. I can’t give up this show, it’s too entertaining. (Notice that I didn’t say it’s too good… I said entertaining.) This new guy–Andy Baldwin–is a new brand of tool. When he’s talking to the camera his eyes don’t move. Seriously… just watch for a minute next Monday night. It’s uncanny. All the guys who are the bachelor turn out to be tools anyhow, he’s just showing it much earlier.

I also am really into How I Met Your Mother right now. I bought season 1 on DVD a couple of months ago and finally rewatched all of them last week. I watched it all first run as well, but it’s just as good a second time around. And hey, if CBS keeps crap like Still Standing, Yes Dear, Everybody Loves Raymond (it’s crap!), and According to Jim around for years on end then there’s hope they won’t cancel it!

Also, if you didn’t watch Friday Night Lights this season you are truly missing out on something special.

100 Movies in 2007: A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints

GuideAlright, there’s something you all should know. I have a thing for Shia LaBeouf. It’s the Judaism. So hot right now. Review of Disturbia is forthcoming.

There were a lot of great things about A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, but I think it missed the mark during the majority of the movie. The opening shot of just Shia were he looks up and talks to the audience was pitch-perfect. The ending monologue by Robert Downey JR was great and satisfying. It tied the movie together.

However, the middle of the movie was just a muddled mess with little or no direction. Like I haven’t already seen 8 billion New Jersey coming-of-age stories!

Also, apparently everyone is into Channing Tatum right now. He’s the “it” guy or whatever. Much of that is due to Step Up, which I don’t plan on seeing unless Audra cons me into it. I thought that I would appreciate him in this but he was pretty unremarkable. He was shirtless, yet unremarkable.

I think the overlying problem with this movie was that they let the guy who wrote the book direct it. Mistake!

23 down, 87 to go.
